Carousel

The pandemic lockdown was an event that definitely marked our lives forever. While isolation gradually became a habit, many of us still feel that things never returned to how they were before. In the midst of this chaos, Ivan Beecroft, a talented musician and composer from Melbourne, Australia, emerges as an immensely relevant figure in the world of music, where his latest release invites us to reflect on this intense period of our lives that has left wounds still open to this day.

"Carousel," his latest studio release, officially premiered on June 15, 2021, and is now returning as his new promotional single, inviting us to experience how music sometimes not only shines for its magnificence in composition but also serves as a vehicle that carries a strong message.

By combining elements from various rock genres such as alternative, garage, and stoner rock, Ivan Beecroft showcases his skill not only as a musician but also as an incredible composer and lyricist. With an authentic sound that strikes the perfect balance between the nostalgia of the '90s rock scene and a powerful, modern sound with recording techniques, his music leaves a lasting impression on listeners from the first listen. His creations aim not only to captivate with the sound of electrifying electric guitar riffs, energetic percussion, and powerful voices that resonate like a true anthem of struggle but also because of the profound background hidden behind each of his songs.

Drawing inspiration from the renowned work "Nineteen Eighty-Four" by the acclaimed writer George Orwell, "Carousel" began to take shape spontaneously, becoming the true rock banger it is today. Ivan explains, "The inspiration for the song came from rereading George Orwell’s 1984 the month before - the song seemed to write itself one day in my dining room. During that time, there was a constant barrage of press conferences with slogans reminiscent of Orwellian Newspeak, such as 'staying apart keeps us together.'"

In this way, "Carousel" arrives to establish itself as a banner of struggle for our frustration, expressing what we all want to say but often omit due to a lack of courage.
