In My Cup

Dara Blaxx reintroduces herself with new single In My Cup.
Following a hiatus after the release of her debut EP Arrhythmia, a collection of songs exploring the emotional journey experienced in a less than perfect relationship, Dara is back on the scene with a different outlook and sound. "In My Cup" encapsulates the alluring chaos and excitement of an overdue night out.
With siren-like melodies and harmonies, she floats through the scenes of a vibrant and intoxicating night carrying us from the chaotic pres to the afterparty, sending an invite for all to join her in “going beyond the eyes can see”.
Dara translates the experience of losing yourself to the music and the night as an addictive high that she is all too happy to give in to. This afro/rnb fusion track produced by Winzycool, provides an immersive and silky base for her to lay her flirty lyrics and fluid flow, taking you on a trip you’ll be happy you indulged in.

Be Kind

"'be kind' Musically speaking, it's heavily inspired by 90s rock and contemporary music that pulls from that era (Alvvays, George Clanton, etc). As far as theme goes, it's our farewell to the people we never got a chance to get closure with. "be kind" is our first track to come out since we dropped our EP Garden in June, and it serves as a bridge into our next musical chapter. We went back to our DIY roots for this one and did everything (recording, producing, mixing, etc) on our own. Hope you enjoy, and if you do, we'd love to work together". -Wotts

Thief

NYC-based singer-songwriter Emily Nicole Green just released, “Thief” which stands as the
third single on her musical career. This track is, in many ways, the most raw and revealing of the 5-songs on Green’s upcoming debut EP, ‘Outrunning The Animal,’ both musically and in terms of letting listeners feel her ache. “Thief” is an Americana ballad that calls on elements of Jazz, Folk, and Pop, resulting in a track that feels timeless and emotionally stirring.

"Thief" is for anyone who has ever been abandoned. It's about the experience of being betrayed or rejected by the person you love the most, but it's also about the realization that two things can be true. I think this is realization many of us don't come to until later in life". - Emily Nicole Green.

The Glory Of The Son

Mikey Adebayo is a Christian/Gospel singer-songwriter who works as an NHS doctor as his day-to-day job. He began singing in his church choir aged 11 and taking guitar lessons upon entering secondary school that the same year. An artist who grew up within the walls of the church, he has served and continues to serve on various worship teams over the years in different capacities as praise and worship leader, guitarist (lead or rhythm/acoustic) and backing vocalist. In quiet quarters, Mike developed a knack for songwriting over the period of over a decade. The 2010s consisted of devotedly serving in his local church and studying to become a doctor whilst spending any free time to work melodies and create new anthems unbeknownst to anyone else around. The young minister makes a shift from live ministration/performance to recording for audiences far and wide with the release of powerful debut: "The Glory of The Son".

M'akoma mu toffee

Xybird is a talented duo that started working together during lockdown. They started by posting short covers on Instagram with the goal of releasing their own music into the world. "M'akoma mu toffee" stands as their 4th studio single. It has a bright and airy sound that carries the sentiment of love, joy and contentment in it's lyrics. "M'akoma mu toffee" is a Twi (a Ghanaian language) phrase that means sweetheart, but a more direct translation is the sweetness/toffee inside my heart. The layered percussive sounds in the track give it a lively pulse that is topped off by the gentle romantic sway of the guitar melodies.

“‘Somebody Who’s Not Me’ came to me in a moment of true vulnerability, questioning and introspection. A moment where I felt stuck, unsure where to look, where to go, or if I was capable of what I was after. Of what I am after. So I tried to look within. This song poured out of me, stripped me down in a way that would only let me grow; it’s the song that’s just “me”, in a way that no song I’ve written before has felt. I always strive for honesty in my writing, but this has the kind of honesty that I think I had never dared to have with myself.” -Chloé Sauterreau
