Alexayndra Releases New Single "Nothing Hits the Same"
Alexayndra has released her latest single, Nothing Hits the Same, a grunge-leaning alternative rock track featuring heartbreaking lyrics and an intimate yet powerful vocal performance. Released on September 18, 2026, the song marks another step in the artist’s shift toward a heavier, rock-oriented sound.
Produced by rock producer Mitchell Marlow, known for his work with All That Remains and In This Moment, Nothing Hits the Same combines gritty guitar melodies with emotionally charged songwriting. The track brings together raw alternative rock textures and vulnerable vocals, placing its emotional weight at the center of the performance.
The single forms part of Alexayndra’s current project, Death of a Dream, which follows her 2023 EP Premonitions. Under this new artistic incarnation, she explores a fiercer musical direction built around raw, distorted guitars and driving rhythms, expanding on the internal struggles that have long informed her songwriting.
Alexayndra’s musical journey began with childhood piano playing on the New England coast and continued through early industry recognition, including nods from the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, and formative years with Motown/UMG. Her work has since evolved across alternative sounds, from shadowy, synth-driven landscapes to the more aggressive textures of her current rock-oriented project.
