Bio

Cardboard Boxer is an indie/garage rock band hailing from San Diego, California. Formed in 2017 by Shea Villetet (vocals and guitar) and Thomas Achenbach (guitar), the band initially bonded over their shared love for Nirvana and Jimi Hendrix. Evan De Silva (drums) joined them after playing together in a metalcore band. Transitioning to a more surfy/punk sound, Cardboard Boxer was born.
In 2020, Cameron Jackson (bass) completed the lineup, solidifying their indie/garage rock sound. Influenced by acts like Fidlar, Wavves, Modest Mouse, and Dead Kennedys, the band has been refining their unique sound ever since.
Cardboard Boxer has played notable gigs, including Peachy Fest alongside TV Girl, The Frights, and No Vacation, and headlining the Voodoo Room in San Diego.
With favorable reviews praising their big choruses, hypnotic riffs, and captivating guitar solos, Cardboard Boxer continues to make waves in the indie/garage rock scene.
