Bio

The Alaska Trap is an alternative rock band formed in London, comprising of Jon (lead singer, guitar player, and songwriter), Jamie (bassist), and James (drummer). The band's journey began when Jon and James joined forces before later recruiting Jamie to complete their lineup. Inspired by the rock and emo sounds of the 2000s and 2010s, The Alaska Trap draws influences from bands like Paramore, Snow Patrol, Don Broco, and Deaf Havana. Their music reflects the raw emotions and energetic spirit of these genres, combining catchy melodies with introspective lyrics.

Despite being a relatively new band, The Alaska Trap has already made a name for themselves in the local music scene. They have played headline shows, with their most recent performance in Shoreditch, London selling out completely. Additionally, the band's music has been featured on Future Hits radio. The Alaska Trap brings a unique twist to their live performances by exclusively covering songs by female pop-sensations like Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, and Katy Perry. This playful choice adds an amusing element to their shows, delighting fans with unexpected renditions of popular hits. With their captivating sound, introspective lyrics, and energetic performances, The Alaska Trap is poised to make a mark in the alternative rock scene.
