Alternative and grunge artist Kai Chow has released his debut full-length album, Wolf, now available on all major streaming platforms. Released on June 28, 2026, the thirteen-track record explores the emotions of love, heartbreak, grief, and the imagined future that can linger after a relationship comes to an end.

The album was largely created as a DIY project, with twelve of its thirteen songs recorded entirely by Kai in his bedroom over the course of three months. The remaining track, Almost Love Songs, began with a studio-recorded piano performance before being completed with vocals recorded in his home setup.

Inspired by Kai's on-and-off second relationship, Wolf was written during and after the breakup. Throughout the album, the wolf serves as a symbol for his former partner, while the dove represents Kai himself. These themes are reflected in the album's second and third track titles, guiding listeners through a deeply personal journey across the many stages of love and loss.

Speaking about the project, Kai describes Wolf as one of his most personal works to date, reflecting on the challenges of balancing school, work, songwriting, and the emotional weight of the relationship that inspired the record.

Born in Herndon, Virginia, Kai Chow began writing songs at the age of eight and has been a trained drummer since he was four years old. He also taught himself piano and guitar before turning his full attention to songwriting in late 2024. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Fiona Apple and Jeff Buckley, he developed a style shaped by expressive lyricism and melodic songwriting.

Following the release of his first official singles, Fix and Sweet Dreams, Wolf marks Kai Chow's first full-length album and the next chapter in his artistic journey.
